💳  TAPXI by D-ASH

1. What is TAPXI by D-ASH?

TAPXI is a digital solution developed by D-ASH to address one of the largest pain points for both residents and travellers in Hong Kong: the lack of cashless payment options in most taxis. Because of this, around 95% of taxi rides are still paid with cash.

 

TAPXI was piloted in some taxis in March 2023 and will soon be rolled out to hundreds more. Refer to the FAQ below for how to use TAPXI and enjoy a hassle-free payment experience in taxis!

 

2. How do I pay for my taxi ride using the app?

 

In taxis collaborating with D-ASH, you will find a device installed in between the front seats.

 

On this device in the taxi:

1. Simply tap the "Pay Fare" button at the bottom

 

Then, on your app:

1. After you log in, tap the "Scan" button on the right of the bottom navigation bar

2. Scan the QR code shown on the device in the taxi

3. Select your preferred payment method and confirm pairing with the taxi

4. You're all set! At the end of your trip, the fare will be automatically charged to your preferred payment method, and there will also be a trip summary on your app.

 

3. What if I change my mind in the middle of paying for my taxi ride digitally?

 

You can exit the process at any time before you confirm pairing with the taxi. However, once confirmed, the digital payment cannot be cancelled and the fare will be automatically charged to your preferred payment method at the end of your trip.

📱  Using the D-ASH app

1. How do I view and edit the personal information on my account?

 

1. Tap the button on the right of the top app bar

2. Select "Personal details"

3. To edit your personal information, select "Edit" on the right of the top app bar and save any changes

 

2. How do I change the mobile number on my account?

 

Unfortunately, users currently may not change the mobile numbers on their accounts once their accounts have been created. If necessary, they may register for a new account with another mobile number.

 

3. How do I verify my email address?

 

Verifying your email address allows D-ASH to start sending you important updates among other communications.

 

To do so:

1. Tap the button on the right of the top app bar

2. Select "Personal details"

3. Select "Edit" on the right of the top app bar and save any changes

4. Tap the email address field

5. Tap the "Send verification email" button

6. Click the link within the email sent to your inbox

 

Once verified, the icon next to your email address on the "Personal details" page will change from orange to green.     

 

4. How do I edit the payment methods on my account?

 

Unfortunately, users currently may not edit their payment methods once added. If they wish to update a payment method, they may delete the existing payment method and add another.

 
5. How do I enquire about my historical transactions?

 

You may refer to your historical transactions (and the receipts with details) by tapping the button on the left of the top app bar.
