DASH - Redefining Taxi
Founded in 2021, DASH is a government-funded, Visa-supported, and Transport Department-approved startup dedicated to modernizing Hong Kong’s taxi industry. Born and raised in Hong Kong, founders Jason Ma and Michael Chan see taxis as a cultural icon but have questioned why local taxi services lag behind global innovations.
By revolutionizing the industry, DASH aims to uphold Hong Kong’s status as “Asia’s World City.” After successful pilots achieving 50% adoption, DASH plans to scale in 2025, equipping one in three taxis with seamless digital payments.

Jason Ma
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
With a background as Director of Digital and Strategy at Accenture Hong Kong, Jason played a pivotal role in launching Livi Bank from the ground up for Bank of China (Hong Kong). He also led the development of data capabilities and customer engagement solutions for global brands like Nike China and Marriott China.
Michael Chan
Co-Founder
Michael has over 25 years of experience in business growth and corporate strategy across Greater China & APAC, with a strong passion for sustainable technology, smart cities, and mobility solutions. His expertise spans strategy, M&A, business development, finance, and transformation across industries such as retail, FMCG, asset management, and banking. He is a CAIA, CFA, FCPA (HK), FCA (ANZ) & FRM, holding an EMBA (Kellogg-HKUST) and a BCom (UNSW). Michael is particularly interested in integrating emerging technologies with community infrastructure and urban mobility, leveraging innovation to enhance connectivity, efficiency, and long-term sustainable growth in cities.
Samuel Wu
Chief Strategy Officer
An active investor in local Hong Kong businesses and homegrown startups, Samuel has supported ventures in international education, technology, and media. With a strong background in retail and corporate banking, corporate communications, operations, and credit card and payment systems, he brings a wealth of expertise to the taxi industry.
Roy Chan
Chief Technology Officer
A seasoned leader in technology, Roy previously served as Senior Vice President of Technology at Powa Technologies, a web and mobile commerce platform. He later took on engineering roles at Hong Kong Disneyland and Microsoft, gaining extensive experience in payments, finance, events, ticketing, entitlement systems, and artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions.
